A Day In The Life:

  • Take the helm, leading and managing a team of payroll professionals.
  • Provide guidance, training, and unwavering support to ensure their success in accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative atmosphere within the payroll department.
  • Promote teamwork and continuous professional development, ensuring a vibrant and motivated team.
  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for 5000+ employees across multiple states.
  • Scrutinize and manage payroll calculations, deductions, and withholdings, ensuring strict compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Work hand in hand with HR and other departments for seamless processing of new hires, terminations, and other payroll-related changes.
  • Harness the power of UKG software for payroll processing.
  • Stay at the forefront by staying informed about the latest features and enhancements.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to UKG, collaborating closely with the IT department or UKG support.
  • Keep a keen eye on changes in payroll laws and regulations across states, ensuring unwavering compliance in all payroll activities.
  • Generate and meticulously review payroll reports, providing valuable insights to leadership.
  • Identify and seize opportunities for process improvements and automation, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in payroll processing.
  • Drive the implementation of best practices to streamline payroll operations, minimizing manual interventions and maximizing effectiveness.

What You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of expertise in payroll management, specializing in full-cycle processing.
  • Successfully managed payroll teams, showcasing effective leadership skills.
  • Essential proficiency with UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) software.
  • Demonstrates a robust understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
