You'll manage a portfolio of key customers and play a pivotal role in scaling a new strategic business unit. This role is focused on shorter sales cycles (3–9 months) and is perfect for someone who thrives on quick wins and meaningful customer relationships.
A Day in the Life...
- Proactively identify and pursue new business using a structured sales model.
- Stay closely connected with your top 10 accounts—collaborating weekly with internal stakeholders to unlock value.
- Strategically plan and execute calls using our Sales Progression Model; update CRM with insights and next steps.
- Capture and communicate key takeaways from client meetings through clear, concise call reports.
- Provide monthly performance updates highlighting new leads, customer activity, and sales outcomes.
- Work cross-functionally to align negotiation strategies and gain internal buy-in ahead of key discussions.
- Continuously sharpen your skills by participating in sales and product training.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Food Science, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4–7 years of proven sales success, ideally in food ingredients or specialty product sales.
- Bonus points for experience with nutrition bars, snacks, cereals, or confectionery categories.
- A strong track record of opening new doors and building trusted relationships.
- Strategic thinker with solid business acumen, high integrity, and collaborative instincts.
- Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, forecasting tools, and persuasive presentations.
- Ability to travel 25–50% for trade shows, client meetings, and team events.
What We’re Offering
- Base Salary: $120k - $135k
