National Business Solutions Manager (Remote)

What We're Looking For: 

National provider of Innovative Supply Chain, Digital and Turnkey Solutions  in the utilities and construction industries seeks a Business Solutions Manager to join their expanding team! The NBSM is responsible for management of multiple multi-million dollar contracts with high volume transactions and a high risk category in a highly visible role.  Ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling company's unique brand of product to distributors in the utilities industry nationally.  This role works with engineers to educate them on our products and to encourage the approval of our specifications.  This person should have a strong finance background and/or professional project management certifications demonstrating a proven track record of handling contracts, negotiations, complex project planning, problem solving, and consultative sales.  Interfacing directly with customers on a regular basis, ideal candidate should be highly organized and analytical.  Strong communications skills, a knack for fostering relationships, and deep product and competitor knowledge are hallmarks of this role. 

Overall, this role will be charged with leading the sales effort, managing existing accounts, monitoring the results, quantifying the successes and shortfalls, making suggestions and adjustments as needed, and contributing to and fostering the baseline strategies to be employed. Skills in selling strategic alliances on a corporate level will be an essential component of the role.

This role is a remote position with 30% required travel.  The pay range for this position is $110,000-$130,000 a year base pay.

A Day In The Life

In this role, you will:
  • Develop strong strategic relationships with decision makers at existing and target customers to facilitate the expansion of existing contracts and creation of new business contracts; actively solicit additional business 
  • Lead onsite customer meetings and provide suggestions to customers for new and/or additional company services
  • Responsible for leading Company's response to formal proposal requests, including delegation of work, write proposal content, and on time submittal
  • Collaborate with management to determine and accurately represent Company’s capabilities for each new proposal and contract and to determine pricing and mark up for all proposals
  • Maintain sales pipeline within Sales Force 
  • Responsible for process development and implementation to service newly awarded contracts
  • Maintain profitability of the account and make recommendations to management as needed to increase profitability
  • Ensure entire procure to pay process is working and follow best practices 
  • Manage contract expiration and renewal processes to ensure maximum business potential is reached and retained
  • Make recommendations to management as needed to mitigate risk, ensure contractual compliance and continuity of supply
  • Lead recurring business reviews with customers to share key performance indicators, ensure customer satisfaction, and keep engagements on schedule
  • Prepare contract forecast semi-annually and monitor the budget to actual monthly
  • Monitor existing pricing and price change eligibility and communicate/negotiate new pricing with customers
 Skills You'll Need To Have:
  • Minimum five years account management and sales experience, preferably in the gas utility industry
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or other applicable field, or equivalent
  • Experience with contract development, negotiations, and management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficient MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills reflecting an ability to be patient and outgoing with people
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, think strategically, problem solve and collaborate with team members
  • Highly motivated, results focused and act with a high sense of urgency
  • Advanced business acumen including a strong understanding of financial statements, risk mitigation and project management
