Distribution Operations Manager

Distributor of Lifestyle Apparel & Accessories is seeking a Distribution Operations Manager to join their expanding team ! In this role, the Distribution Operations Manager will oversee the distribution, logistics, and operations creating business process, efficiencies, strategies and objectives to ensure programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives.

  • Develop and maintain distribution center operations business plans.
  • Manage P&L and customer requirements.
  • Direct communication and coordination of timely product receipt, product organization, capacity and storage of product in warehouse.
  • Manage facilities planning and warehouse equipment planning
  • Direct and implement a plan to reduce financial losses.
  • Drive the financial performance ensuring that budgeted productivity, labor, and other expenses are achieved.
  • Plan, direct warehouse operations including, deliveries, shipping, receiving, order processing, inventory and auditing.
  • Implement and monitor compliance, asset protection, safety controls,
  • Implement and enforce warehouse and logistics operation systems that create more efficiencies.
  • Work closely with the Logistics and Warehouse teams to determine the best practice for product handling and storage requirements.
  • Minimum high school graduate or GED; preferred bachelor’s degree from 4-year college, or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years distribution center or warehousing experience.
  • Experience leading people and managing teams ERP/WMS experience  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of materials, warehouse processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective distribution of goods.
  • Management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
