In this role, you will develop, lead, and execute Purchasing Strategies, responsible for sourcing equipment, goods, and services, performing strategic procurement activities across multiple categories. A DAY IN THE LIFE • Develop, lead, and execute Purchasing Strategies, tracking key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve customer satisfaction while assessing and mitigating risks. • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in purchasing-supplier effectiveness. • Accountable for analysis, development and implementation of management strategies and tactical plans related to all aspects of Procurement cycle. • Develop, communicate, and report supply chain • Evaluate vendors and shipping companies based on quality, service, and pricing, establishing relationships, and negotiating contracts for maximum profitability. • Actively communicate with vendors on a regular basis to improve vendor performance and address quality issues. • Perform root cause analysis for stock outs, missed deliveries, and non-conforming product to proactively drive permanent solutions and process improvement.
MUST HAVES: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or equivalent, preferred. • Proficiency in SAP. • Demonstrated experience with LEAN principles in a manufacturing environment. • 5-7 years’ experience in Sourcing/Procurement. • Demonstrated background leading teams, coaching, recruiting, training, problem-solving tools, time management, prioritization coaching experience. • Advanced experience in manufacturing technology, materials and assembly processes • Advanced knowledge of international procurement procedures and practices. • Ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions involving many parts and supplies, as well as can determine appropriate methods of procurement. • Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. • Experience with MRP systems. • Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
