OVERVIEW
Expanding West Coast  Retailer seeks dynamic, bilingual (Spanish) Human Resource Director with outstanding people skills to manage our personnel and ensure that our human resources programs and initiatives are best in-class, effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business objectives. The role will have strong knowledge and progressive experience across the spectrum of HR-related functions and will be a respected resource for all HR related matters.

YOUR ROLE
  • Identify and monitor the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction
  • Lead the development of department goals, objectives, and systems
  • Develop and administer programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company
  • Establish and lead the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire
  • Formulate and recommend Human Resources policies and objectives for the company with regard to employee relations
  • Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation
  • Monitor and advise managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company
  • Review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations
  • Lead company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements
  • Serve as contact with the company employment law attorney and outside government agencies
  • Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations
  • Identify and monitor the organization's culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction
  • Lead a process of organization development that plans, communicates, and integrates the results of strategic planning throughout the organization
WHAT YOU NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, behavioral/social science, or a closely related field.
  • PHR, SPHR Certification preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish a must!
  • 8 plus years  Human Resources experience
  • 5 plus years of managerial experience
  • Coach, mentor  HR teams 
  • Wholesale, retail, distribution center background
