Expanding Sports Program Organization seeks a Human Resources Assistant to join their expanding team! This role will support the HR functions for this growing division while simultaneously providing support to the core team at the National Office. Working closely with the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for assisting with and/or tracking on-boarding, payroll, training, benefit administration, HR policy implementation, performance management, termination, employee relations, and employment law compliance.

• Takes an active role in understanding the business and employee issues organization wide.
• Administers various human resource plans and procedures for organization employees; assists in the development and implementation of new policies and procedure while identifying ways to improve current policies and procedures.
• Supports the recruitment function by advertising positions, sourcing candidates, screening applicants, conducting preliminary interviews and coordinate hiring efforts with team members responsible for making the final selection of candidates.
• Manages training enrollment and completion records, ensuring that all employees are properly trained and certified for their positions.
• Participates in onboarding, processing and tracking of all new hires including the collection and submission of all formal documentation; maintenance of the HRIS system.
• Record and manage employee information such as, but not limited to, personal data, compensation, benefits, attendance, performance evaluation and termination information.
• Administration of health and welfare benefits, training and development, employee relations and retention.
• Identifies key HR metrics; researches and reports on those areas clearly presenting the information.
• Supports the HR Department in implementing programs to improve the employee experience.
• Provide high-quality advice and service to management on daily employee relations and performance management issues.
• Conduct investigations in employee situations including, but not limited to, harassment, discrimination, and violation of organizational policies.
• Assists with the creation and implementation workplace safety programs that are applicable for both our in-office as well as our on-the-field employees; creates and maintains documentation to support.

• Bachelor’s Degree - preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
• At least 1-2 years of experience in a Human Resources Department.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal employment law and regulations.
