Production Planner

What We're Looking For:
Global Manufacture in the Aerospace industry which designs, manufacturers and services over 300 customers in 30 countries seeks a Production Planner to join their expanding team! In this role, you will be responsible to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between work centers, capacity and priority planning and re-planning. Coordinate and procure inventory items based upon inventory levels and parts usage.
What We Need (Job You’ll Do):
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production, and engineering.
  • Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes, in order to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
  • Coordinate production and shipping activities, and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
  • Record production data, including volume produced consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
  • Process requisition, receives quotes and places purchase order necessary to meet production demand by monitoring and conducting follow ups on purchase orders to maintain on time delivery.
  • Analyze inventory and usage trends to determine procurement quantities.
  • Select supplier based on upon optimum quality, delivery and cost criteria.
  • Maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
  • Compile information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials and customer information to complete status reports.
What You’ll Need (to be successful in this role):
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; and a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of Expeditor or Production Planning direct experience preferred in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • APICS Basics certification preferred.
