What We’re Looking For:
 
Global Manufacturer specialist in the Aerospace industry which designs, manufacturers and services more then 300 customers in 30 countries seeks a Facilities Manager to join their expanding team.  In this role you be responsible for directing, managing and coordinating activities in relation to facilities management, including, but not limited to, coordination of construction/repair of all facility structures, manage activities and personnel.
 
What We Need (Job You’ll Do):
  • Manages personnel in Facilities Department and coordinates activities to ensure efficient completion of tasks
  • Manage all elements of construction and repair of facility structures and equipment including, managing permitting and code requirements, construction oversight, lay-outs, contracting, quoting of work, reporting progress, etc. and work with project customers
  • Develops, executes and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule for facility equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated, accurate facility site-plan
  • Manage parking lay-out and work with associated government agencies to ensure that compliance standards
  • Manage permitting of company facilities and equipment and ensures that governmental requirements are met
  • Champion safety programs, provides training for all maintenance personnel on safety policies and enforces “Lock Out/Tag Out” and other safety procedures
  • Communicate with production supervisors to schedule machine repairs, moves, new installations, preventative maintenance, etc.
  • Maintain wastewater treatment and HAZMAT program.
  • Work in a cost-conscience manner and works within company budgetary targets for projects performed.
  • Manage vendors and contractors to ensure that company budgetary expectations, production requirements, safety and environmental standards are adequately met.
 
What You’ll Need (to be successful in this role):
  • Bachelor of Administration Degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 yrs. Experience in Project Management and/or Industrial management with emphasis on detailed contract management
  • Working knowledge of relevant building standards, environmental constraints and aerospace standards.
  • Knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical equipment maintenance and repairs, and plumbing. Familiarity with techniques, code requirements, regulations and materials related to electrical process.
  • Knowledge of integrated accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
