Strategic Account Executive - Medical Sales

What We’re Looking For:

National leader of medical equipment and outsourcing seeks an Account Executive to join their expanding team. In this role you will manage day-to-day relationships with existing customers focusing on retaining current business lines and identifying new opportunities within those accounts.  Sales platform includes: medical equipment outsourcing, technical and professional services, and disposables.
Our client has a diverse customer base including more than 3000 acute care hospitals and approximately 3500 alternate site providers and is the nation’s largest group purchasing organizations (GPOs) and hundreds of integrated delivery networks (IDNs).
What We Need (Job You’ll Do):
  • Manage existing customer base and identify new business
  • Upsell and cross-sell addition solutions to current accounts
  • Insure consistency on sales approach, collateral, slide deck, literature.
  • Ability to accurately forecast new business opportunities
  • Clinical background and/or product knowledge sales expertise
  • Establish, manage and review sales and service activity to include assessment of market opportunities to meet objectives.
  • Identify, qualify and close business opportunities in assigned territory. 
  • Demonstrate the ability to strategically and aggressively take market share
  • Execute customized group presentations, utilizing professional presentation skills and adept technological skills.
  • Build and maintain relationships with doctors, hospitals, and surgery center personnel.
  • Foster good working relationships with vendors, manufacturing partners and account executive counterparts.
  • Keep abreast of trends in technology and related techniques through continued education, attending meetings, and in services when possible, participating in any educational programs and assisting when requested with the orientation and training of hospital staff.
  • Ability to comprehend and understand budget and P&L.
  • Demonstrated the ability to apply technical, industry and product expertise to increase efficiency and reduce duplication of effort.
  • Strong understanding of hospital finance, reimbursement, regulatory, and safety practices.
What You’ll Need (to be successful in this role):
  • 5 plus years outside sales and account management experience
  • Healthcare, hospital industry, medical equipment, sales required
  • B.S. or B.A. in marketing, communications, business or related field required
