OVERVIEW
 
Global Manufacturer specialist in the Aerospace industry which designs, manufacturers and services more then 300 customers in 30 countries seeks a Lean Manufacturing Manager to join their team. In this role you will manage the company wide continuous improvement projects and develop systems to ensure process improvement. Oversees cost reductions and savings related to capital expenditures and continuous improvement projects. You will oversee training and coaching of team members; ensuring standardization, compliance to methods, and piloting workshops or projects, assist in the evaluation, development and implementation of training in achieving integration goals and objectives.
 
 RESPONSIBILITIES
 
  • Lead the company-wide implementation of lean manufacturing; 5-S, Cellular design, TPM, and JIT manufacturing techniques.
  • Training and coaching of team members, ensuring standardization and compliance to methods and pilots workshops or projects. Introduces and supports the use of new tools in assigned areas.
  • Identification of process re-engineering opportunities through performance data analysis, such as Six Sigma or capability studies.
  • Lead and coordinate improvement projects with process owners.
  • Make recommendations for projects/programs, selection of project participants, development required in order to achieve expected results, and manage multiple projects with dynamic shifting priorities and targets.
  • Partner with the Operation and Quality to ensure that new or revised Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) are understood, trained, and implemented.
  • Develop and conduct audits to ensure SOPs used in production are controlled, current, and readily available to team members.
  • Facilitates team member training of newly implemented standard processes.
 
 
 
REQUIRMENTS
 
  • Bachelors Degree in Project Management or Engineering; minimum 8 years in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certified and/or experienced in Project Management, Six Sigma (Black Belt) and Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Aerospace experience required.
