Quality Manager

OVERVIEW

Satellite communication manufacturer of RF (Radio Frequency) and microwave electronics for the commercial, space and military industries is seeking a Quality Manager to lead quality operations for high-performance RF electronic products. In this role, you’ll drive compliance with ISO, AS, IPC, and MIL-STD standards while building a culture of quality and continuous improvement. You’ll oversee inspections from start to finish, manage defect analysis and corrective actions, and lead AS9100/ISO9001 audits. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll ensure every product shipped is reliable, repeatable, and built to the highest standards.

DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the Quality team to consistently deliver top-tier products.
  • Ensure full compliance with manufacturing quality standards, ISO/AS requirements, and company policies.
  • Partner with customers to address requirements, deliver clear reporting, and strengthen relationships.
  • Manage supplier evaluations, audits, and performance to ensure quality across the supply chain.
  • Maintain accurate records, quality reports, and statistical reviews to support data-driven decisions.
  • Oversee in-process inspections and implement procedures that guarantee design conformance.
  • Identify and correct non-conformances, driving effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering to conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term improvements.
  • Communicate and resolve quality issues quickly to minimize impact on operations.
  • Monitor technical operations and provide proactive guidance to enhance quality outcomes.
  • Deliver training and serve as a quality resource for leadership and cross-functional teams.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum of 7 years of QA experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-1580
  • Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9102 regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD procedures
  • Creating, reviewing and processing; NCMRs, CARs, SCARs, PARs, etc.
  • Knowledge of various materials and processes; metals, ceramics, electronics, plastics, semiconductors, etc.
  • Knowledge in the use of epoxies and bonding materials
  • Able to read and understand engineering, process, assembly and traveler documentation
  • Comfortable with working and communicating with various engineers and managers
  • Experience with training and certification
  • Knowledge of airborne, avionics, RF, analog and digital products
